A good two weeks before he starts wooing cowboys on misty mountain slopes Heath Ledger will remind the world that he's not afraid of a little heterosexual misbahin' either. The trailer for his next movie, Casanova, tells all.

Ledger makes a bid for the role of People Magazine's sexiest man alive by playing the part of the world's sexiest man to ever live: Casanova. The movie calls itself the story of the legend who risked everything to become the man one women always dreamed of. What is it with us men and always wanting what we can't have?

Heath Ledger, doing his best to look sexy in a powdered wig, plays the irresistible Giacomo Casanova. Sienna Miller joins him as Francesca, the apparent antithesis of the sexy man: an intelligent woman. A writer no less, Francesca spends all of her time poo-pooing the male libido. This is all beginning to feel like a Victorian era version of Down With Love, only with swords but no David Hyde Pierce.

Casanova isn't just a lover, he's also a rebel spy. Jeremy Irons swoops down like Darth Vader in purple as a papal inquisitor sent to bring Casanova to justice. Oliver Platt rounds out the cast (in what I can only hope is a fat suit) as Francesca's heavy weight fiance.
