Remember last year when Joaquin Phoenix grew a beard and started acting all kinds of nutter-butters? Then remember how it was revealed to be an idea for a mockumentary directed by Casey Affleck which confirmed to everyone that it was all just a hoax? Well, you may be able to see the whole mess in film-form soon in a theater near you.

According to Deadline, Affleck is close to closing a distribution deal with Magnolia Pictures. While things look promising, there are some that are arguing against the purchase due to it's content, which, according to the report, includes "Phoenix--or the bearded and distant character he was playing--engaged in sordid deeds that included snorting what looked like coke off the breast of a prostitute."

After that last sentence, is there any one on Earth that doesn't want to see this movie? Despite the fact that it was obviously phony from the get-go, the whole thing was entertaining - or at least it was after we realized that it wasn't really a man experiencing a total breakdown. There is no doubt a lot of material that we still haven't seen from the whole affair, and you can color me intrigued.
