Karma is finally paying off for Nadine Valazquez. Nadine plays the motel maid Catalina on NBC’s “My Name is Earl”, but now she’s been cast in a starring role opposite Jet Li in his next movie Rogue, according to Production Weekly.

Exactly what part in the story her character plays is unclear, but PW describes her part as a lead role. The movie is the story of a cop out for revenge against a brutal Chang crime family assassin named Rogue who murders his partner, and his partner’s family. Jet Li plays the assassin and Transporter star Jason Statham plays the cop, Jack Crawford.

The film starts shooting on the Canadian side of the border this week, and it’s directed by Philip Atwell. Atwell is another Hip-hop music video director trying to make it as an action movie director. Sometimes that works, often it doesn’t.

Whether the movie is bad or good, it’s great to see someone from the cast of “Earl” besides Jason Lee getting some much deserved reward. Keep holding out for Crabman: The Movie folks.
