Catfish Directors Named As Helmers Of Paranormal Activity 3
Though I actually really liked Catfish, even I'll admit that the marketing was tremendously misleading. Tthe blame can't be put on the filmmakers, but the trailers for the film made it seem like a horror movie which - without giving anything away - it wasn't. Apparently, however, it was scary enough for the directors to be handed one of the highest profile horror gigs going.
Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman have been named as the directors of Paranormal Activity 3, according to Bloody Disgusting. Plot details are unknown, and considering that the film is set to be released on October 21, chances are production is scheduled to begin fairly soon. In addition to directing, Schulman will also co-produce alongside Jason Blum and Oren Peli, while Steven Schneider and Akiva Goldsman will serve as executive producers.
Paranormal Activity 2, like most horror sequels, wasn't treated nearly as kindly by critics as the first one was, but what do the fans think? Are Joost and Schulman a good choice? What do you want to see happen in the third installment? Sound off in the comments section below.
