Celebrate Mother's Day Saw-Style![]()
Brett Ratner has never been afraid to mess with things that other people love-- we don't really need to bring up X-Men 3, do we?-- but now its the cult film fans who have to watch out for the wrath of Ratner. He's got his eye on producing a remake of Mother's Day, according to Shock Til You Drop. Nothing is official, and we don't even know which studio will produce it, but “one of the players involved in the project” swears it's happening.
Mother's Day, a 1980 horror movie directed by Charles Kaufman-- different from Charlie Kaufman apparently-- that seems to be Psycho updated to include a maximum amount of boobs. Two maniacs live at home with their mom, and have a field day when three women accidentally wander onto the property. Darren Lynn Bousman, director of the three most recent Saw movies, is apparently looking into directing it, and hinted in an interview that he would be working on a remake “that I believe people will embrace.” |
