Channing Tatum Strips Down In First Trailer For Magic Mike
So far 2012 has been the year of Channing Tatum. While the movies that he's made this year - Haywire, The Vow and 21 Jump Street - have had varying success, both at the box office and with critics, the fact of the matter is that it's now April and there have been very few weeks where it was impossible to see a Tatum movie in theaters . And thanks to the upcoming release of Magic Mike that streak won't be ending anytime soon.
The first trailer for the upcoming male stripper movie, directed by Steven Soderbergh, has arrived online. The second film of the year that has seen the actor and the director team up, the story is loosely based on Tatum's own experiences as a stripper prior to his acting career. You can watch the preview below and see it in HD over on Apple.
Based on a script by Reid Carolin, the movie features Channing Tatum as the titular Magic Mike, a stripper working down in Florida. Concurrently, Mike meets a woman named Paige (Cody Horn), but their relationship is tainted by what he does for a living. The film also stars Matthew McConaughey, Matthew Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Riley Keough, and Olivia Munn.
