Charlie Sheen Heads Into Horror

By Rafe Telsch: 2008-03-13 19:49:18
Charlie Sheen Heads Into Horror There was a time when Charlie Sheen was a promising actor. Frankly, that wasn’t even that long ago – remember his successful stint on Spin City? That’s all pretty much gone all to hell with Two and a Half Men, although it looks like the actor is looking beyond the sitcom for roles.

Next up for Sheen: he’s signed on to star in Twisted Picture’s Tortured (although it’s not called Tortured anymore). According to Bloody-Disgusting, Sheen will star as half of a couple who loses their son and “releases the animal that lives within all civilized people” when they fail to get justice from the court system.

I honestly don’t know what to make of the movie based on that description. Could be good; could be bad. Fire in the Sky director Rob Lieberman will head up the project, which is good news, but Sheen’s involvement makes this a big question mark. Maybe this is the movie for him, however. After all, Two and a Half Men is torturous enough. Maybe a movie along those same lines is just what Sheen needs. Something tells me the film would have more success right off the bat if it were Sheen that was receiving the torture, however.
