Charlize Theron has signed up to star in a whiny protestor movie. For Monster she got fat and shunned makeup, so I suppose for this one she'll have to stop bathing and forgo pit shaving.
Production Weekly says the movie is called Battle in Seattle, and it's set in 1999 during the controversial World Trade Organization meeting in the rain-soaked Washington city. There, a varied mix of demonstrators, activists, and other odd and possibly dangerous group of weirdos nearly brought the city to a standstill and ran the WTO out of town on a rail.
Charlize is involved because the movie was written by Stuart Townsend. Apparently, he's her long-time boyfriend. I had no idea they even knew each other, which tells you I spend the appropriate amount of time reading "Star". In other words, none.
