Charlize Theron Also Being Looked At For A Role In J. Edgar
Just a few hours ago it was reported that Social Network star Armie Hammer had entered negotiations to play in Clint Eastwood's biopic about J. Edgar Hoover. With the project set to start shooting early next year, however, we can expect to hear a lot more casting in the coming weeks. For example, it looks as though the film has now added its third cast-member.
Vulture reports that an offer is now out to Oscar winner Charlize Theron for a role in the film, recently retitled J. Edgar. If the rumor is true and should she choose to take the role, she would play Helen Gandy, a Justice Department file clerk who Hoover selected as his personal secretary. The two went on to work together for more than 54 years, up until Hoover's death in 1972.
Charlize Theron has always been far too beautiful to be so damned talented (evolution is supposed to even that kind of stuff out). Between DiCaprio, Hammer and Theron, it appears that Eastwood is building a seriously awesome cast for his next film. Now if he would only reveal if we'll see Hoover in a dress we can be satisfied.
