Check Out The Assembled Avengers On This Week's Entertainment Weekly Cover
At this point we pretty much know what the movie version of The Avengers look like-- a series of set photos and concept art mockups have done a pretty good job of that. But it still doesn't hurt to seem them all buffed up and photographed together, especially on the cover of Entertainment Weekly this Friday. The EW website has posted a preview image of this week's cover along with a few choice quotes from Jeremy Renner, Joss Whedon and Robert Downey Jr. But first, here's the cover image below.
![]() Poor Nick Fury didn't get a chance to show his face, and though I guess it makes sense to leave out the villainous Loki, I kind of miss Tom Hiddleston too. They make up for it, though, with hilariously candid insights from Whedon and Downey Jr., who admits that when he pushed for rewrites on Iron Man, "I dominated like a rabid, horny, gorilla." And EW's reporter claims that when they visited the set, Whedon was rewriting pages of dialogue on the spot. Here's how he explains it: “There is a weird element of: they handed me one of the biggest movies of all time, and I’m making it up as I go.” For stories about dance parties and Jeremy Renner's claims about how the actual members of the Avengers don't necessarily get along, click over to the article. There will presumably be much, much more where that came from when the full issue hits later this week. |
