There's a crazy amount to see, even if you're not familiar with the original comic books, though of course if you read those you'll be thrilled to see Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead embodying Scott and Ramona, and brief flashes of Jason Schwartzman, Chris Evans and Brandon Routh embodying some of the evil exes who must be defeated. But I think the biggest selling point is the comic book imagery, the "Whaps!" and "Kapows!" that pop up on the screen, the way that certain shots will change to black and white just for impact. Wright seems to really, really get how to translate comic book imagery to the screen, and it's fascinating to watch it happen frame by frame.
