Check Out Push's Telekinetic Gunfight![]()
I still don’t know quite what to make of Push. At times it looks promising, but other times it looks like it could be pretty bad. This new clip, online courtesy of MySpace, adds to the confusion with a scene that is conceptually kind of interesting, but looks both clever and oddly unpolished at times.
The scene in question is a telekinetic gunfight, a fight between Chris Evans’ character and another telekinetic who looks to be a bit more comfortable with his powers. The two move the guns around with their minds (which, at times looks like the guns are suspended on strings), pull the triggers remotely, and finally descend to tossing stuff around the room with their minds like Darth Vader. Honestly, throwing things seems a lot more efficient use of telekinesis than trying to aim and pull a tiny trigger, but that’s just me. Take a look at the clip, embedded below, and give us your opinion. Sure, it doesn’t look all that great at times, but that could be trying to show how raw and unpolished Evans’ character’s powers are… or am I over rationalizing things in hopes Push will be pretty good? |
