It's the dog days of summer, which means it's probably blazing hot outside were you live, that it's almost time to go back to school, or at least that it's time to stop pretending that this is the summer you'll finally finish War and Peace and get that beach body you've been reading so much about. So with summer wrapping itself up and with this Wednesday seeming to drag on forever, why not join me in looking at some pictures of cute penguins for a minute?

Don't worry-- we haven't gotten so desperate for traffic that we've resorted to posting cute animal photos. Warner Bros. just sent over a batch of new stills from Happy Feet 2 along with a plot description, both of which you can see below. This time around our hero Mumble is all grown up and has a son named Erik, who unlike his dad is "choreo-phobic"-- as in, unlike his dad, he simply doesn't have the dancing fever. Elijah Wood is returning to lend his voice as Mumble, along with Hugo Weaving as Noah the Elder, but a ton of new voices have been added too, including Matt Damon, Sofia Vergara, Robin Williams, Brad Pitt, Common, and Pink.

Take a look at the plot description and the images, which you can click to see in high-res in our Blend Film Database. Feel the cool Arctic breeze waft over you, and then mark your calendar-- Happy Feet 2 comes to theaters November 18 this year.

Mumble, The Master of Tap, has a problem because his tiny son, Erik, is choreo-phobic. Reluctant to dance, Erik runs away and encounters The Mighty Sven—a penguin who can fly! Mumble has no hope of competing with this charismatic new role model.

But things get worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces.

Erik learns of his father’s “guts and grit” as Mumble brings together the penguin nations and all manner of fabulous creatures—from tiny Krill to giant Elephant Seals—to put things right.
