Cher Will Seduce A Jackass![]()
Somewhere in a world where people appreciate all things campy and bizarre, The Drop-Out will be playing on a loop, forever. The in-development comedy, which would be just a mediocre slacker movie under other circumstances, is now headed for legendary status thanks to the casting of Cher as a randy neighbor and Jackass star Johnny Knoxville as the slacker who seduces her.
I'm not sure any of us are ready for this. The Hollywood Reporter says Cher is so excited about the project that she slipped information about it on the Ellen show. This doesn't seem to match with the fact that movie is written and will be directed by Ricky Blitt, who was responsible for the 2005 comedy The Ringer, in which Knoxville played a guy who fakes his way into the Special Olympics. Charming. It's pretty much guaranteed that this movie will automatically garner interest thanks to Cher's participation-- she hasn't been in a movie since 2003's Stuck On You, and not in a lead role since 1999's Tea With Mussolini. What will it be like to have one of pop's icons trying to seduce Johnny Knoxville? Probably something like a car accident-- unbearable, but impossible to ignore. |
