There's a weird sort of symmetry to this rumor. Christopher Walken may play Ozzy Osborne. Hollywood's weirdest actor as music's weirdest rocker. It almost works.

The rumor comes from the guys over at FilmStalker, who caught an interview with Motley Crue singer Vince Neil on ABC News. Apparently, Walken is taking a cameo as Ozzy in an impending Motley Crue movie called The Dirt. Also in a cameo role may be Val Kilmer as David Lee Roth.

Here's the thing: A movie about either Ozzy Osborne or David Lee Roth would be interesting. Motley Crue on the other hand, is a rock footnote. If not for Tommy Lee's tremendous wang and infamous association with Pamela Anderson, they'd have long ago faded from the public consciousness. Actually, there's another movie I'd be interested to see. Pam and Tommy Lee, but only if it's NC-17. Motley Crue though… who cares. I'm not sitting through that even for an awesome Walken as Ozzy cameo.
