Clash of the Titans 2 is moving forward but director Louis Leterrier isn’t moving forward with it. Deadline says Sam Worthington and pretty much everyone else who was still alive at the end of the film will be back for Clash of the Titans 2, but Letterier will leave and get some sort of vague exec producer credit instead.

This makes a lot of sense since many of the movie’s story and special effects failures can be laid at Leterrier’s feet. Except word is that the parting was mutual and that Warner Bros. isn’t looking for someone else because Leterrier sucked. The movie made a lot of money, so maybe they choose not to acknowledge that it had problems. Still at some point, someone at WB had to actually watch the movie, didn’t they? They can’t be blind. Changing directors can only make the sequel better and increase the chances that it’ll make enough money to warrant another one.
