I meant to have this story up 3 days ago but a night of debauchery wiped out 6 hours of my life and damaged my left knee. That story is actually more interesting than my Clerks 2 story but Josh doesn’t pay me to write stories about me being a dumbass. Those stories are freebies for our CB Forum members.

Anyways, View Askew, Kevin Smith’s website, is probably one of the best sites on the internet for getting frank talk about the movie business from someone inside the business. While I’m not one of these Brodie geek fanboys, I do love Smith’s work, even Jersey Girl which is unfairly shafted by everyone not named Matt or Rafe.

Recently on his site, Smith confirmed that the cast of Clerks 2 is almost all wrapped up, as is the script. I’m not sure if everyone’s back but from the movie poster Smith uses on his website, it seems that Jay, Silent Bob, Randal and Dante are on board, which is outstanding.

Production on Clerks 2 should begin in September for a Spring 2006 release. While you’re busy waiting, take a gander at the poster below. I’m sure somebody out there wants to see Jay’s butt. But for those that don’t, you’ve been warned!
