Comic-Con Friday Schedule Boasts Veronica Mars, Kick-Ass 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 And More image
For movie fans attending this years San Diego Comic-Con, Friday will be the day to finally get a look at some of the most highly anticipated projects coming out in the next year. Kicking off the day in Hall H will be The World's End, the third comedy collaboration between Edgar Wright, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg which is already planning a huge Comic Con presence, and will screen the film in its entirety at a secret San Diego location on Friday night. It's the conclusion of what Wright calls the "three flavors Cornetto" trilogy, and while it's technically not a sequel to Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, it comes with so much anticipation it might as well be.

After that there's a special presentation from the Veronica Mars movie, which kicked off production this summer with funding help from thousands of Kickstarter fans, and then Riddick, the follow-up to Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick that seemed dormant for years until Vin Diesel and his fans mustered up enough power to make it happen. Riddick shares a panel with Kick-Ass 2, which wasn't funded by fans or anything, but which seemed utterly unlikely given the first movie's modest box office-- they'll need the hardcore fans to make the second one a success too.

After that the movie lineup for Comic Con Friday includes first looks at The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and the Robocop remake, plus some smaller movie stuff that seems worth a look, including a Who Framed Roger Rabbit retrospective and a comics-focused panel with Joss Whedon. Check out the full list of events for movie and TV fans below! To see Thursday's schedule click here.
