The really weird thing about the main convention floor at the San Diego Comic Con is that most of the people roaming it seem to be primarily there to get things for free. They’re surrounded by all sorts of impressive displays and half-naked babes, but on of those mind-numbing, face tromping, out of control crowds only seems to form when there’s the smell of crummy shwag in the air. Meanwhile, if anyone bothered to look up from shoving the guy in front of them out of their way to clear a path to a free Star Trek poster, the convention floor is packed to the gills with all kinds of really cool stuff. I guess since you can’t take the Quantum of Solace car home with you, it’s not worth stopping for.

At least that’s my theory. For us though, it was worth stopping for and below is a gallery of some of the awesome displays we spotted while fighting our way across the convention floor like the might salmon making its way upstream to spawn.
