So far it seems like we’re learning more at Comic Con 2010 about who won’t be in Marvel’s superhero team-up movie The Avengers than who will. We know that Ant Man, despite rumors to the contrary, won’t be in it. And now we know that neither will Natalie Portman either.

Portman is set to play Jane Foster, the lead love interest in Marvel’s Thor movie, and while Thor will definitely be in The Avengers it looks like his girlfriend won’t. Portman confirmed it herself during Marvel’s Comic Con panel this afternoon. She’s definitely not in, and that makes a lot of sense.

The Avengers is already going to be jam-packed with more superheroes than any other movie in history. After giving them all their due, will director Joss Whedon really have a lot of time leftover to spend on Thor’s dating life? I think not.
