Comic Con: Pete Docter Teases About Pixar Easter Eggs

By Katey Rich: 2008-07-26 18:52:24
Comic Con: Pete Docter Teases About Pixar Easter Eggs Lucky Josh is getting up close and personal with some of Pixar's brightest minds as he watches their presentation at Comic Con. He reports that Pete Docter, the director of Monsters, Inc. and Pixar's next movie, Up, will give you a good reason to take another look at your Ratatouille DVD.

In line with Pixar tradition, a character from Up can be seen in Ratatouille-- though Docter isn't saying who. Not only that, but another character from Up will be in an upcoming Disney movie. That gives us a lot of weird options for Disney movies coming out before Up is released in May of 2009. Is it Bolt, the talking animals animated comedy coming out this fall? Is it, somehow, High School Musical 3. Or is it-- oh please God don't let this be the case-- Beverly Hills Chihuahua? If you've forgotten the horrifying trailer for that movie that ran before Wall-E, you're a luckier person than I.

Pixar is a great company for hunting down Easter eggs, and it's fun that they're teasing them way in advance. Of course, we probably wont' know which Ratatouille character we'll be seeing again until Up actually comes out, but that doesn't mean we can't have hope. Let the campaign begin: Anton Ego for a cameo!
