We got the opportunity to sit down and talk with the iconic Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger) during Comic Con. We were supposed to be talking about a couple of new horror comedy projects that he’s currently promoting: Zombie Strippers and Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer. Unfortunately time was short and Englund is so eloquently verbose, we barely got to touch on his current projects.
I asked Englund what it was like having grown to the level of being such a horror icon that he’s kind of the “go-to guy” when it comes to paying tribute to the genre as a whole. Here’s Englund’s answer:
