San Diego Comic Con starts in just two weeks, but we're only now getting the details of just how the assorted geeks, nerds and journalists will be spending their time. The official Comic Con website has finally posted the full schedule for Thursday, the first day of the Con. And there's a ton going on, obviously, which you can see in all its glory over there. For our part, we'll focus on the movie-related stuff.
The biggest stuff, as always, is happening in Hall H, where Disney will be presenting 3D footage from its upcoming live-action movies A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland and Tron at 11 a.m. (The animated films are coming on Friday) James Cameron will surely wow the crowd with the first public screening of Avatar footage at 12:45. If you want to get into either of those presentations, though, you're going to be battling a lot of Twihards; the Summit presentation at 2:15 boasts new scenes from Astro Boy, Sorority Row, and-- wait for it-- New Moon OMG!!!
Other Hall H happenings include a presentation on Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, a look at thriller Pandorum, world premiere footage from Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass, and a presentation on Park Chan-Wook's Thirst. But there are cool goings-on elsewhere too, including fan discussion of The Hobbit movie, a talk with Hasbro about the new G.I. Joe movie, and "Spotlight on Bryan Lee O'Malley," a conversation with the creator of the Scott Pilgrim comics that will soon be a movie starring Michael Cera.
We'll have lots more detail on Comic Con as the event gets closer; for now, check out the schedule, and keep your eyes peeled for the other three days, whose schedules should be up any day now.
