Normally I’m not big at spamming national contests for Hollywood’s movie studios. They ask, but I usually just hit the delete button. The odds of winning aren't in your favor. This time though, I think the prize is big enough to make this particular giveaway worth telling all of you about. Speed Racer and MTV are giving away a car. Not just any car, a brand new Corvette convertible painted up to look like the Mach 5 and worth $100,000.

A sweet 100k prize almost makes it worth risking being put on some horrible telemarketer’s eternal spam list. I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen here, which makes the whole thing even better.

To win the awesome car pictured with this story, here’s how it works:

1. Entries must be made by texting "fast" to 90736.
2. On April 18th, participants will be notified how to answer a Speed Racer trivia question via text.
3. They must answer the question within 2 minutes to qualify.
4. 10 winners will be flown to premiere in Los Angeles to race (mini cars) for a car inspired by "Speed Racer"

Sounds… kind of overly complicated. But that’s a good thing. Means fewer people for you to step over on your way to the finish line. Entry period is currently under way, so get texting, and if you win I’m riding shotgun.
