Cuaron Back For More Potter?![]()
Bad news for Harry Potter fans who care more about quality filmmaking than nitpicking over book specifics (bring on the backlash): Alfonso Cuaron wants nothing further to do with Harry Potter.
Cuaron you may remember as the director of the best Harry Potter movie to date, Prisoner of Azkaban. He spoke with ComingSoon.net on the subject as a means of luring them into allowing him to promote his new film, which no one otherwise cares about. It's been rumored that Cuaron might return for one of the future Harry Potter installments, so Coming Soon asked him point blank if he'll be back. Alfonso says, "At this point today? No." Cuaron then goes into a long spiel about how wonderful the people of the Harry Potter franchise that he no longer wants to work with are and then adds the following reversal just drive fans completely nuts: "I don't know. In the future, if I'm invited, I would consider it definitely because it was such a beautiful experience, but in the same hand, I'm not very good about repeating stuff that I did before." So to sum up, Alfonso Cuaron is absolutely not doing another Harry Potter movie no matter how much you beg, unless you ask him really nice then he'll consider it though he doesn't really want to do it so no thanks but maybe. |
