D.J. Caruso May Be New Thor Director![]()
When a director mentions that they've been in talks with a production company, and they'd be interested in what that company is working on, is that pretty damn close to a confession that they've signed on board? Maybe not, but Eagle Eye and Disturbia director D.J. Caruso spent some time talking to IESB.net about his love of the Marvel comic book hero Thor, and given how hot a director Caruso has become since Disturbia, you've got to take the mention as more than just idle chatter.
"I was always a fan of Thor growing up as a kid the director told IESB. "That's one I've always been interested in and it also would be, it would be a monumental task so, I could definitely see myself getting myself into that." When they asked Caruso if he's talked to Marvel about the project, he fessed up but remained purposefully vague: "I have had some talks with Marvel about it but I have not seen a screenplay. It could be something that I am interested in." Stardust director Matthew Vaughn had been attached to the project, but now that he's out, Caruso might be the man to take his place. That is, as long as he promises not to cast Shia LaBeouf in the lead role. Read the rest of IESB's interview for the rest of Caruso's plans for Thor, and let the speculation begin! |
