If you’re one of those people who are both into the Christopher Nolan Batman movies (like me) and viral marketing campaigns (not so much), then you’ve already probably seen Why So Serious, a website that at one point had the teaser trailer for Dark Knight.
Now when you head to the site, you see a pumpkin carved with Batman’s logo and a solitary candle burning inside. Nobody seems to know what is happening with the site, but two pieces of speculation are out to help you figure it out. Superhero Hype says the image is similar to that from a Batman comic series called “The Long Halloween.” I would think any pumpkin carved with Batman’s logo would look like another one and their needn’t be a connection, but where’s the fun in that?
The other thing noted by Superhero Hype and then demonstrated by Screenrant is that the candle is slowing getting smaller and smaller. It’s burning down, just as the Joker will burn down Gotham in a crazy fury. I made up that last part, but there is a picture showing the candle going down. What does it mean? Will something cool happen on Halloween? Will we get another trailer? Only time and wax will tell.
