Dark Knight IMAX Tickets Already On Sale I think I’m on record as being quite excited about the movieola picture-show called The Dark Knight. It’s set to open July 18th and will thereafter show for many days in every corner of the U.S.of A. and even in many foreign countries like Venezuela and Japan. It’s even going to be shown in the super big IMAX format, where Batman’s Batmobile will be even more Bat-tastic!

Even though the movie isn’t coming out for four weeks, the fine folks at Regal Entertainment want to give you the opportunity to throw $14.50 their way today! That’s right, they are giving you a chance to pay for something right now even though you won’t get what you paid for until the Earth completely rotates 26 more times. Actually, it’s not just any The Dark Knight ticket, it’s an IMAX ticket. You can buy tickets for the IMAX showing of the movie in one of 18 IMAX locations right now. Do it, do it now! Or, conversely, buy the tickets the day the movie opens, like I always do.

Regal IMAX locations selling advanced The Dark Knight tickets are mostly in big cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, San Diego, Philadelphia and San Francisco, but they also have them in Boise and Fresno. Who knew? The press release says that if you go see this in IMAX, you’ll be totally jazzed. Actually, it says, The Dark Knight: The IMAX Experience will feature six sequences filmed with IMAX cameras including the opening six minutes. This marks the first time ever that a major feature film has been even partially shot using IMAX cameras, marking a revolutionary integration of the two film formats.” So get online, send off your $14.50 and start packing for your trip to Boise.
