Those who still haven't seen The Dark Knight Rises or are eager to see it again might still be able to find it playing in one of their local theaters. But if you're waiting to purchase the film on DVD/Blu-ray, there are still a few months go to before that can happen. On the bright side, the release date has officially been set and we now have a look at the limited edition set that will be available.

Entertainment Weekly shared the news today that the DVD/Blu-ray release date for the third and final film in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy has been set for December 4. The Blu-ray combo pack for the film, which stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, comes with numerous bonus features, as one would expect, including a documentary about the Batmobile, and an Ending the Knight feature, which offers an "in-depth look featuring about 17 featurettes at how Nolan and his production team made The Dark Knight Rises, from Batman vs. Bane to totally demolishing a city street."

There's also a featurette that comes with both the Blu-ray and DVD called The Journey of Bruce Wayne. Think that'll explain how he got back to Gotham? It's probably more of a figurative "journey".

And those who want something to display among their Batman collectibles can shell out the money for the limited edition set, which comes with the Bat Cowl collectible package.

No mention of pricing yet, but with the date set for the release, hopefully Amazon and some of the other venders will start the pre-order process soon.
