The Dark Knight Rises Reveals 2 More Immaculately Designed Banners

We were totally smitten yesterday with the new banner posters from The Dark Knight Rises, which took key scenes from the movie and set them up as dynamic tableaus, turning the average movie poster into something more like a viewfinder glimpse into the world of the movie. Now two more banners have come to us from Warner Bros., and unsurprisingly, they're equally as beautiful as the others. Check them out below and click on them for the high-res versions in our Blend Film Database.

Just like with the last ones, it's the conflict between Bane and Batman that intrigues me most. Unlike the Joker in The Dark Knight Rises, who eluded Batman with pranks and riddles and a terrifying smile, Bane feels like a more primal villain, the kind of guy you just bash into over and over again hoping he'll relent. With Tom Hardy playing him, of course, he seems aptly terrifying, and given Bane's background in the comics as the guy who broke Batman's back, I'm starting to wonder just how sever the damage will be at the end of the movie.

The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20, which believe it or not, isn't even two months away. In addition to Christian Bale as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Tom Hardy as Bane, the film stars Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman, Juno Temple and Josh Pence.
