On Monday, a series of rumors indicating that Batman 3 might already be in pre-production, started circulating. Like all these ever-pervasive Dark Knight sequel rumors, it seemed hard to swallow, since again, Christopher Nolan still hasn’t even decided if he wants to do it. Now, as everyone suspected they would be, those rumors have been debunked.

IESB talked to several different executives at Warner Bros., who told them directly that “another Batman film is not in pre-production and is not getting ready to shoot. Not at all.” The rumor is total garbage, more of the usual when it comes to any rumor which is Dark Knight sequel related. Chris Nolan has been on vacation, and they aren’t even talking about it yet. Everyone kick back and relax, Batman 3 is still a long ways off.
