Brief little update on "David Fincher's Facebook Movie," a.k.a. The Social Experiment. The Columbia Pictures project has officially been greenlit, according to EndOfShow.com. Filming is scheduled to start in October, and they've set aside $47 million for the story of the group of Harvard students that founded Facebook.
The script review site Script Shadow review Aaron Sorkin's Social Network script a while back, and had plenty of praise for it, calling it "a modern tragedy or a modern success story depending on how you look at it." It gives me plenty of faith that this will be more than just an incisive documentary about the state of friend requests, so if you don't feel excited about it yet, I'd recommend it as a good read. Plus, it's based on a true story, so you can't really complain about spoilers.
