As the first film from directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris since their breakthrough Little Miss Sunshine way back in 2006, the upcoming He Loves Me is already a pretty hot ticket. Then you consider the cast they're gathering, starting with screenwriter and actress Zoe Kazan and her boyfriend-- and Little Miss Sunshine star Paul Dano-- and the goodness just keeps coming. Not long ago they further sweetened the deal by adding Annette Bening to the cast, and now THR reports that a whole slew of talent has signed on as well, including True Blood's Deborah Ann Woll as Dano's ex-girlfriend.

Steve Coogan, Elliot Gould and Chris Messina round out the group of newcomers-- EW has it that Banderas will be playing Bening's love interest, but all the other roles are in the dark. Dano stars as a young man reeling from a breakup and suffering from writer's block; killing two birds with one stone, he creates a dream girl who comes to life and is played by Kazan. Hopefully the movie's similarities to Weird Science end there. Bening plays Dano's mother, an ex-hippie who already seems hilarious paired with Banderas.

While all the actors are probably happy to be part of the ensemble, and while Kazan undoubtedly benefits the most as both an actress and a burgeoning screenwriter, I'm interested to see how this turns out for Woll. She's obviously made a name for herself on True Blood but hasn't really turned it into any significant movie roles yet, though she's got a good handful that have yet to see release. With Jessica Chastain and Christina Hendricks already out there killing it, is there room for another redhead to take over in pop culture? I mean, the answer is obviously yes.
