Delaying Take Off

discussioncomments published: 2004-12-03 00:00:00 Author: Bill Beyrer
Martin Scorsese's latest epic The Aviator has been getting alot of buzz lately and Miramax has countered the buzz with....a delay.

The Leonardo DiCaprio fronted flick won't be landing in theatres December 17th. The film has left that crowded date and will now open in theatres a little over a week later alongside Dimension's Darkness and Fox's Fat Albert. Yet that week's competition is even more cramped what with the December 22nd date even more crowded than the 17th just days before this new date.

Also starring Jude Law, Alec Baldwin, Kate Beckinsale, Cate Blanchett, and Gwen Stefani...The Aviator will now be arriving on Christmas Day.

EDIT:As it turns out The Aviator will be opening in New York & Los Angeles on December 17th. On Christmas it will expand everywhere else. So us cool New Yorkers and Angelinos get it before all of you....and might I add Nanny Nanny Poo Poo.
