Demi Moore Joins The Cast Of Margin Call![]()
On Wednesday, news came out that Paul Bettany and Simon Baker were joining the cast of Margin Call, an ensemble film that follows eight Wall Street investors for a 24-hour period during the 2008 financial collapse. Just from the plot description itself, I likened the film to Glengarry Glen Ross. That comparison is officially dead because a woman has been added to the cast.
Demi Moore is the newest addition to the film which already includes Bettany, Baker, Kevin Spacey, Zachary Quinto, Penn Badgley and Stanley Tucci, according to Deadline. In the film, Moore will be one of the eight main characters, playing a "chief risk management officer at a firm." Don't you just love verbose descriptions like that? It really makes me feel like I know the character before even stepping in the theater. While I'm sad to lose the David Mamet comparison, this is turning into a film with some serious talent. The movie will be written and directed by J.C. Chandor, who only has one other credit to his name: a short from 2004 called Despacito starring Will Arnett. With a cast like this, you know that the performances are going to be top notch, so let's just hope that the direction can match. |
