Dennis Quaid has just signed on to star in a movie called The Express about black football legend Ernie Davis. How will Quaid pull it off the change in pigment? He'll play Ernie's coach.

The Hollywood Reporter says the Gary Fleder directed movie tells the true story of how Davis broke down racial barriers and set college football records in the early 1960s at Syracuse University. He went on to become the first black player to win the Heisman Trophy and even played in the NFL until leukemia ended his career prematurely.

Quaid is the first person to join the cast, apparently they're still looking for their Ernie Davis. Romany Malco anyone?
