Warner Brothers has released a character poster for the depraved adversary of Sherlock Holmes. His name is Lord Blackwood, he’s played by Mark Strong, he looks every bit the villain he should be. Wait, doesn’t Sherlock Holmes fight Moriarty? Only in some stories and WB his hoping for sequels. You’ve got to build up to a proper arch enemy. He’ll show up eventually, don’t worry.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, Sherlock Holmes sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.
