Despicable Me 2 Gets A Promo Poster
It's crazy how much Despicable Me made at the box office last year. Working with a reported budget under $70 million, the movie pulled in $543 million internationally making a lot of studio heads happy and guaranteeing a sequel. Sadly fans are going to have to wait quite a while for the second film to come out - as it is currently scheduled to be released on July 3, 2013 - but today a little taste has arrived online.
Collider has gotten its hands on the first promo poster for the movie which you can check out below or see full size over at the source:
It's not exactly a huge surprise that one of the minions would be put front and center, as they were also huge part of the marketing campaign for last year's animated hit. Other than suggesting that there will be even more of the little yellow dudes in the next movie, the new poster doesn't really say much about what we can expect, but that's not really a surprise (it is just promotional art after all). It's unknown as to who among the cast will be returning for the next installment, but considering the original included Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Julie Andrews, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, and Elsie Fisher, if only a few of them return it will be considered a win. |
