DiCaprio, Mulligan And Maguire Together In Costume On The Great Gatsby Set

Based on the latest set photos to surface from Baz Luhrmann’s 3D take on The Great Gatsby, the 1920’s don’t look so bad on Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire. Catch a glimpse of the trio in costume on the set of the film.

Just Jared posted the photos, which were taken at Centennial Park in Sydney, Australia and show Mulligan, DiCaprio, and Maguire dressed up and ready for action (or a post WWI life of Long Island luxury and drama). DiCaprio will play the title character, Jay Gatsby in Luhrmann’s 3D adaptation of Fitzgerarld’s novel, while Mulligan and Maguire will portray Daisy Buchanan and Nick Carraway respectively. Judging by the photos below, all of them look especially good in a ’20’s setting.





Then again, when don’t they look good? Between the setting and the costumes, seeing DiCaprio as Gatsby is like a look at an alternate future for Titanic’s Jack, had he lived to age and acquire a lot more money than he had when he boarded the ill-fated ship. Or maybe I just have Titanic and 3D on the brain (I blame this trailer). View the rest of the photos here.
