Great news if you’re a Fast and the Furious fan. Both Paul Walker and Vin Diesel may be back for Fast and the Furious 4! HR says they’re in negotiations to reunite for the fourth installment, set to be directed by third installment helmer Justin Lin.
Diesel and Walker were there at the beginning. In the original Fast and the Furious movie Walker played an undercover cop infiltrating the Los Angeles subculture of street racing while Diesel played the leader of a gang of racers named Dominic Toretto. Paul Walker went on to do a second Fast and the Furious movie, paired with newcomer Tyrese, while Vin Diesel avoided FF sequels until a brief cameo at the end of Fast and the Furious 3. Vin’s cameo was so well received that it ended up being a part of the marketing campaign for the third film, and likely had at least something to do with convincing him to star in another.
Getting back into the Fast and the Furious franchise sort of makes sense for both of them. It was the original movie which made them household names, and lately neither actor has exactly been firing off hits. There was a time when Vinny wanted out of the Fast and the Furious thing, some rumors said it was because he didn’t want to share top billing. But now, years later, both Diesel and Walker could use a nitrous oxide recharge. The up and coming, mega-action star he was supposed to become never happened, and Vin has turned himself into a joke by doing movies like The Pacifier. There were rumors for awhile that Fast and the Furious 4 would end up staring Vin Diesel and only Vin Diesel, but it looks like the big baldie has been forced to swallow his pride in the face of rapidly falling stardom.
For the persistent Fast and the Furious faithful (yes these people exist), getting them both back in one film is a dream come true. For the rest of us, this might actually make the franchise worth watching again. Vin’s character in the first movie has always been the best thing about these banal fast car, fast women films. Getting him involved again lends the fourth movie instant credibility, regardless of what it’s about. Here’s hoping it involves Vin Diesel punching Paul Walker in the head.

Iam glad they are finally putting everyone from the perivous movies in the forth sequel but i hope they put more racing scenes because thats what they all lack. Godspeed
Those movies were all awfull and give true tuners a bad rap. Glorifing street racing is a terrible idea and leads younger kids getting into the scene the wrong impressions. I wish none of the movies had ever been released.
What ruined the franchise was the breakaway from the street racer scene in the second movie to a catch the bad guy drug dealer cop movie wannabe, the first scenes in the second movie are great (including the intro short flik with paul walker heading to miami). had they stuck with the true inspiration around the first film, an article about street racers and their underground world, it wouldn't have become the laughing stock to critics it has now become, they simply tried too hard to blockbuster-ise the first movie...
The third in my view took it back to the original inspiration and ideas, a kid being introduced to the work of drifting/street racing. Coming from that world myself, i can tell you that alot of us out their don't consider the actors the real stars of the movies. The real stars are the cars and what they do! (the race with the ferrari was great, a big up yours to all the rich try hards and showponies). Lucas Blacks V8 muscle vs the viper was the same! Vin didn't make the movie, and neither did Paul, they were good, but the cars were better. I just hope that they can show what it really means to be a car fanatic/street racer in the fourth movie, we ain't rich, don't have the fanciest cars, but simply drive hard and fast, and love it.
i'm so glad the forth one is on its way i have all three movies and i love them Vin and Paul welcome back guys your both the best but sorry guys but i have more admirations for the girls you know what i mean ?
Finally, Vin Diesel is back, Paul Walker is kool to. I also hope they bring the original cast back especially Michelle Rodriguez, im sure she looks good still. Please put a lot of racing scenes and action, no fake stuff like that wack movie Redline, that was horrible. I know its hard to make a plot for a racing car movie but think of something good, please. I have some ideas, email me.
Hiya all, Nice to see there will be another movie and Vin and Paul coming back. I reckon they have done America twice and Tokyo....I have a suggestion. Australia has a very strong car culture. Its the only country to have legal offfical Burnout compititions, V8 supercar racing and a hell of a HOON! culture. (illegal street racing and street burnouts) Also Australia has the great landscape...Location, Location, Location.
if this movie gets its script out before the writers guild lockout
that would be something in it self
i don't think hollywood is going to love a fourth installment
they have used up actors and to stretch out more terrible acting
it would not be good
It strikes me odd that people say movies like the pacifier is the reason vin's star is falling. In my opinion its his stupid obsession with the pitch black character.Talk about crap, action fans do not like the same things sci-fi fans.then ending the original xXx with the idea he would be back for the 2nd one and then nothing.Left a sour taste in peoples mouth.I cant stomach ice cube the action hero.and people think paul walkers acting was bad.lol Vin needs to bag the nerdy sci-fi crap even though my brother would disagree..and never ever grow his hair out again..The cover of Find Me Guilty scared me.The Pacifier was ok cause he felt he owed Disney who started his carrer with the voice of The Iron Giant.
PLEASE PUT A VW IN THE 4TH AND DONT COVER IT UP WITH UGLY GREEN CRAP AND DONT RICE IT OUT KEEP CLEAN FOR ALL US EURO TUNERS. GOOD ,TINT, DROP IT, EURO LIPS , NICE WHEELS , SPONSORS BUT NO BIG UGLY VINAL, CAGES RACING SEATS AND ALWAYS A BIG TURBO , SMOKED LENS
i think that it should star paul walker, lucus black, vin diesel and tyrese as he is funny as u like, alda luda chris should return and possibibly bow wow, just get all the characters in for a action packed raced filled hot chikarammer!
Whoever brought redline into this is a dumbass. Yeah the acting and plot sucked but every car in the movie was owned by the Producer, including the Koenisag at the end. And all the car scenes were real, even the destrutcion of the Carrera GT.
Looks like it will be in Brazil and mostly with American muscle...I hate American muscle...great in straight lines but when you hit a corner it hurts :(
THe last two movies were garbage i hope that the forth is like a life jacket to save a drowning franchise. In my eye 2F2F killed it. that movie sucked so bad i almost cried. THEY NEED MY twin turbo'd 350z in the mix.......lol. The whole scene needs to get back to drag. and distance racing instead of that drift B.S
so yea, I think it would be appropriate to do a european fast and furious 4th - have it centered around test drivers for newer cars on the Nurburgring or flyin break-neck down the autobahn.
paul's character is just starting to make a living test driving limits of vehicles in germany, he's having problems because the locals are against him and are doing there best to make him screw up as a driver and almost gets him canned... he falls into a mental rutt and his performance on track is suffering. He's toasted 3 cars trying to win the respect and honor of eurotuners in the area...and do his job. When almost all is lost, vin slips in since tokyo drift on his way back to the US and helps paul regain his edge and retrain him oldschool style to get him back into what made him from the first and second movies...tada! good european based movie! has all aspects of tuners - the racing, the hot euro chicks, the old and slammed VW sleepers that will destroy any exotic... on the highway, the mad crazy city runs in minicoopers, the crazy street burnouts into oncoming traffic, the drifts on and off the highway ramps, the driving skill must be up to par since it's on the roads of Europe. Bring it!!
This movie, I believe, will ROCK the cinemas!!! I'm so excited to see Paul and Vin reunite. I've been expecting this 4th part since I saw Vin at the ending of Tokyo Drift. That made me think it would have a Part 4.
I wonder if Jessie is alive from the first one when he got shot wiht the automatic and possibly his dad got out of jail and they both come back and they join the street receing life????????? any one think its possible?????
all right i like the sound of it we talk about the movies all the time this is a film that can go all the way car buffs like the movies do to the fast cars and what they can do to there own cars to make theres better
i go to car shows all the time and all you see is import, old cars year ones and the imports are tacking over do to the profoments and looks you can do to them
I am very excited about the 4 installment bringing it full circle with the two actors reuniting. I have also heard and seen that instead of making vehicles for this movie like they did for 2 and 3 they are actually looking for real car enthusiasts to be extras! That Rocks! What a way to bring this movie back! I agree that more Neon Car Lights will make this movie great.
In my opinion, I believe that if this movie happends, it will possibly be the best out of the trillogy, although no movie will beat the first fast and the furious.. also id like to add that Vin and Brian are an awsome film team!!.. well.. for this type of film anyways...
I AM SO HAPPY THAT THERE IS GOING TO BE A PART 4 , BECUASE FOR ME I'M A SPEED DEMON. I LOVE PART 1 WITH VIN AND WALKER
BUT I DIDN'T REALY LIKE PART 2 OR 3 BECAUSE I FELT IT HAD NOTHING TO DO AND DID NOT BLEND WITH PART 1 BUT THEY WHERE OK. I ALSO LOVE ALL THE CAR'S. AND THIS IS THE TYPE OF MOVIE THAT CAN HAVE MORE THAN 1 PART.
CAnt Wait it sounds great. Didnt care much for part 2 But 3 was alright it was a look into the drifiting world. Cant wait counting dow til june 5 2009 see ya there.
yarrrs...this movie will b the greatest of them all! im telling you right now... i havent seen such good movies in mi life... all sorts of cars man!! i think they should put me in this film too!! c u later yarrr
If Vin and Paul do it again because they WANT to, it may be ok. If they do it just strictly for their careers, their hearts may not be in it. I would hope to see them bring much more realism into the movie. When I street raced, the race prep was just as enjoyable as the race itself. Burnouts, the betting and checking of rides. I HOPE they at least show that the racers at least DID burnouts in prep rather than trying to race "bare off" One of the posters said something about the cars being the show. This is true. I'm not one for a weighted down import with lambo wings trying to race cars with more muscle than show.. and winning. We once pulled a guys "fancy" gear out of his car (at a track). With all speakers, amps and game consoles, we shaved off almost a pure .4 of a second faster (1/8th mile!!) So PLEASE.. . realism realism realism!!
GL on the film, I hope all you (us) get what they want out of this film.
why does everyone think F&F is a joke its a movie.. you don't like it becuase its not "realistic" and "over dramatized" but then rush to the movie's to watch stuff like "The Dark Knight" and "Incredible Hulk"..?
anyway i think the movie will be good, no matter what its worth seeing.
Its good to watch something different, allot of movie's out there today are about either death, laughs, or scare's its good to watch a movie that makes you sit back and say hey thats a cool car and know its not going to blow up in .5 seconds.
i i hope that is not just one more pill of crap nock off. i am realy gitting tiered of this crap that keeps filling our shelfs. now im not saying that i will not watch it but it still just one more remake in the mix since they have done drift, drag, ripping cars off, and tune ups. but since i liked the other movies were good i have high hopes for this one. and they better get both vin and paul in this one since they never said what had happened to them.
