Disney is going big for ShoWest. THR reports that not only has the studio locked a spot for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, but Toy Story 3 as well. Toy Story 3 will be the first to go with a March 16th screening date followed by Prince of Persia on March 18th, the last day of the exhibition.

Jealousy of anyone lucky enough to attend ShoWest has hit an all time high. Exhibition managing director Robert Sunshine is well aware of the hot commodities the Las Vegas event will be handling. He said, “The opportunity to showcase the story of Prince of Persia and the beloved characters of Toy Story 3 in front of the important professionals of the motion picture industry and owners of theaters demonstrates the significance of this audience to forthcoming blockbusters.” Both films are being shown far in advance of their release dates. Odds are Toy Story 3 will benefit from positive early buzz, but if Prince of Persia doesn’t please the ShoWest audience it could be a bumpy ride to it’s nationwide debut.

Cinema Blend's Katey Rich will be on hand at ShoWest, but us non-ShoWest attendees will have to wait until May 28th to catch Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince of Persia and until June 18th to be reunited with Woody and the gang from Toy Story. This is just cruel.
