The first trailer for District 9 has arrived… and it looks like a bad episode of COPS, but with aliens. I give it 24 hours before someone posts a re-edit of the trailer set to the COPS themesong. This is what we’ve been waiting for? Really? A bunch of fat, shoeless people being interviewed and then one shot of an alien with his face inexplicably blurred to annoy the audience. Come on Blomkamp! I know you’re trying to go all viral and secretive with this thing but give me a break. This is not a feature film. This is a gimmicky, low-rated NBC television show which airs before Knight Rider and gets cancelled after only three episodes.
