Never have so many muscles gone to waste as on Djimon Hounsou. The guy is built, but he seems to go out of his way to avoid putting any of his perfectly chiseled body mass to use. Instead, his most notable work has been touchy feely dramas playing the gentle-yet-crazy artist next door, or in action movies as the sensitive yet wise monk. Come on, the fact that he can kick your ass and chooses not to, well that's pretty cool.
Djimon will continue his tendency towards male sensitivity in a new drama called The Trunk. It's the story of a concert pianist who escapes the ghetto and a group of scumbag friends to make beautiful music with… um… himself.
The Hollywood Reporter says it's being directed by Sylvain White, whose next movie will be the college dance squad flick Stomp the Yard.
