Do We Already Know Who The Ghostbusters 3 Villain Will Be?![]()
If you thought today's Ghostbusters 3 news would end with Bill Murray's admission that he'll actually take part, think again! Cinematical has taken the opportunity to reveal some information they learned about the sources the writers are considering as they write the screenplay, which might hint as to which villain we'll see the 'busters tackling next.
Apparently as recently as this summer, the writers were basing the central mythology of Ghostbusters 3 around Zoroastrianism, an ancient religion that focuses on the war between good and evil. The central baddie of the whole thing is Ahriman, "the god of darkness, the eternal destroyer of good, personification and creator of evil, bringer of death and disease." Now, there's no proof that Ahriman is part of the new movie at all, or even that Zoroastrianism will be part of the final script. But Ghostbusters 3 is going to need a heck of a Big Bad, and this guy sounds like a pretty good candidate. That is, unless they've all been pulling the wool over our eyes and Peter Venkman will be the villain after all. Now that might actually get me rooting for this movie. |
