Doctor Heals X-Men 3![]()
Move over Halle Berry, there is another woman with way more talent than you joining the cast of X-Men 3.
According to IGN, Iranian actress Shohreh Aghdashloo (5 bucks to whoever can pronounce that name correctly) is accompanying the ensemble for the problematic upcoming X-Men 3. Her character will be the role of Doctor Rao. She was Oscar-nominated for her heartwrenching performance in House Of Sand & Fog and appeared on Fox's series "24" as Dina Araz. She's got more chops than the local butcher shop... if those still exist. UXN says that in Joss Whedon's version, "Doctor Kavita Rao, a world-renowned geneticist, had claimed that she had developed a serum, called Hope, which could 'cure' mutants of their mutation. While hundreds of mutants immediately signed up for the procedure at Benetech, the corporate backer of Rao's research, the X-Men debated the societal meaning of this: someone comparing mutation to a disease. Still, the chance at being "normal" has weighed heavily on Hank McCoy's mind, as he considered the ability to no longer be 'a Beast.'". We all know there is no such thing as normal, especially when it comes to this ill-fated X-Men movie. We reported recently that Halle Berry's ego has taken over the project, turning whatever potential it had into dewey mist. Shohreh joining the cast is the best news we have reported on this trainwreck recently, although it would be more entertaining to watch her and Halle get into a vicious hair-pulling battle. Catwoman doesn't stand a chance. Thanks to 'Stax' for the story. |
