Down In The Valley Finds A Home![]()
Remember hearing about that movie Down In The Valley, starring Edward Norton and Evan Rachel Wood? After a long period of floating in purgatory, Thinkfilm has grabbed the rights and will make sure that the indie flick finally sees the light of day.
According to Zap2it, Thinkfilm acquired the domestic distribution rights to the feature on January 16th. It had its world premiere in Cannes last May and opened at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June. A 2005 release didn't pan out, so hello 2006! The film, written and directed by David Jacobson, is about a wannabe cowboy (Norton) named Harlan. He gets caught up in the lives of a dysfunctional family with a control-freak father (David Morse), a kid with anemia (Rory Culkin), and a rebellious teenager (Evan Rachel Wood). Says Norton: "Think's enthusiasm for this film has been unequivocal from the first time they saw it. They're a very daring company and have a great knack for communicating with audiences about challenging films.. Welcome back to movies, Ed. We missed you. |
