As much as I enjoy the darker, more serious comic book adaptations like The Dark Knight, there is always room for the more goofy properties. Enter Maintenance, the Oni Press comic by Jim Massey and illustrated by Robbi Rodriguez. According to THR, Dreamworks Animation has picked up the rights to the series after the project went into turnaround at Warner Bros. In the series, two janitors working at the fictional TerroMax, Inc. are forced to face all kinds of harrowing adventures due to the on-goings of the company, from "toxic spill monsters" to time machines. While at Warner Bros., the project was to be made as a live-action film with McG directing. There are no writers, directors or producers currently attached.

While I can't say that I am too familiar with the series, it sounds like a while bunch of fun and most certainly better suited for the animated world than anything McG would have done with it. The only question is when Dreamworks is going to find time for it between the multiple sequels currently in development as well as Me And My Shadow. Let's just hope that they don't rush it and make a sub-par project.
