I'm not up on my celebrity gossip enough to know if Drew Barrymore and Justin Long are still dating-- they've been on-again, off-again too many times to count that. But I do know that they dated in real life, and real-life couples acting together after a break-up is about as uncommon as a Hollywood marriage lasting more than 5 years.

But Barrymore and Long are fearless, apparently, and will co-star in the romantic comedy Going the Distance, a movie that is already shaping up to look better than your average rom-com. Variety is now describing it as an "observational comedy," and it's directed by Nanette Burstein, who's made two very intelligent documentaries, American Teen and The Kid Stays In The Picture.

Oh, and according to People.com, Barrymore and Long have broken up. But maybe not for long?
