It’s hard not to like Anne Hathaway. Not only is she jaw-droppingly gorgeous, she’s also not a sell out. Sure she could do a hundred Get Smarts and get disgustingly rich, but for every glitzy movie like The Devil Wears Prada or Get Smart she does a quiet little indie film. Granted, no one will ever see her quiet little indie films (unless they’re like Havok), but she’s out there making them just the same.

Her next quiet little indie flick is called Rachel Getting Married, and for it she chops off her hair and gets all edgy to play a recently released from rehab drug addict. The movie is about her addict character’s return home to attend her sister’s wedding, and the movie’s first trailer (below) is one of those uplifting, slightly sanctimonious things you’d expect from the black sheep returns home to ruin sisters wedding genre. Yes, it’s a genre… or it might as well be they’ve made so many of them. Your local arthouse theater is full of them.

It’s worth watching for Hathaway, because if you’re honest with yourself, you know you want to know what she looks like with short hair. Also she seems to be doing some acting, which is sort of her job. Side note: Is that Bobby from Hell's Kitchen marrying her sister??
