Dunst Swings For Simon Pegg

By Josh Tyler: 2007-04-25 00:40:03
Dunst Swings For Simon Pegg For those of you unimpressed with Kirsten Dunst’s performances in the Spider-Man series take heart. She’s good in Spider-Man 3… or at least that’s what I’d be telling you if Sony didn’t have the movie embargoed. I’m not allowed to review it for you until next week, even though I saw it today and not talking about it is leaving me creatively constipated. You’d better believe I’ll be ready for heavy Spidey talk next week.

Meanwhile though, let’s talk about what Kirsten is doing after Spider-Man. Empire Online says she’s headed to London to work with Hot Fuzz collaborator Simon Pegg. They say she’s joining the cast of How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, a film based on the experiences of hapless Vanity Fair contributing editor Toby Young.

Pegg is set to play the lead as Toby and Kirsten will be a fellow magazine writer. If there’s a romance and sex in the film, there’s also the possibility of an extremely large-headed edition of Late Night With Conan O’Brien’s “If They Made It”. Expect How To Lose Friends in theaters some time next year.
